The Eurovision Song Contest is the world's largest live music event, uniting 180 million viewers from around the world each year. Eurovision 2020 would have been the 65th year but the contest was cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic. Fortunately for Eurovision fans everywhere, instead of cancelling the iconic song contest all together, the organizers decided to air a series of at-home concerts and broadcasts culminating in a live two-hour special in place of what would have been the Grand Finale: "Eurovision: Europe Shine a Light". This unique broadcast brought together Eurovision stars past and present for a much-needed celebration.

The live show, which was hosted in Rotterdam, honoured all 41 songs that would have competed this year, and ended with a singalong of unity anthem Love Shine a Light by Katrina and the Waves, the 1997 winner.

Vasil Garvanliev, representing North Macedonia with the song "YOU" appeared in Eurovision Home Concerts Episode 2, in Eurovision Song Celebration Part 1, and, of course, the Grand Finale. Watch the "Europe Shine A Light" broadcast and some highlights from VASIL's 2020 Eurovision Journey below and don't forget to check out VASIL's artist page.

Stay tuned for Eurovision Rotterdam 2021!

Even though I didn’t get a chance to stand on that stage tonight and represent Macedonia in Rotterdam I am VERY proud to be a part of Europe Shine a Light. This is only the beginning!!! I love you.

Иако ја немав можноста да застанам на евровизиската сцена и да ја преставам Македонија во Ротердам, многу сум горд што сум дел од вечерашното шоу Europe Shine a Light. Ова е само почетокот!!!! Ве сакам
